TULSA, Okla. — The visitor experience at a local museum just got better.
Greenwood Rising History Center in downtown Tulsa’s historic Greenwood District will now have six interactive kiosks for visitors to use. The kiosks feature touchscreen timelines, slideshows, and maps.
The kiosks will be available beginning September 22 and allow visitors to learn more about the history of the city of Tulsa. Topics range from the Tulsa Race Massacre, the oil boom, early migration to the city, and other similar events that took place across the country at the time.
The kiosks were designed to be understood at an eighth-grade reading level to be better suited for the students of Tulsa Public Schools who take annual tours.
They were the result of a project between Greenwood Rising and TP,S where the school district wanted to expand its students’ field trip experience.
While designed with students in mind, the kiosks will be available to everyone who visits Greenwood Rising.
